core theme of today's Farmers Union press call - together with agricultural Provincial Schwärzler and country farmer's wife black man - was the proposed reduction in rates of Faymann-Social Democratic Party, which would mean Vorarlberg farmers a massive financial burden. In Vorarlberg, some 500 direct-marketing farmers would be directly affected them. This would be expected with a total income loss of about 500,000 € per year, an average of 1000 € per direct marketers. The revenue loss resulting from the fact that direct marketers, given the proposed tax cut would have less revenue, due to the flat-rate tax - would have same tax amount as before handing it over to the tax office - this is for 98% of farms in Vorarlberg.
Background: Flat-Rate Farmers charge to consumers, such as trade also in the direct marketing of food products currently 10% VAT, unlike companies, they are not entitled to deduct VAT and can - as if to compensate - to keep the 10%. If the VAT rate reduced to 5%, the consumer only allowed farmers another 5% VAT charge. The loss for direct marketers is liquidated by around 15 million €. All this is thanks to the Social Democratic Party, which wants to impose their choice without regard for losses Treat with the Freedom Party as backers.
It is important to mention added that the dairy farmers in the country threatens an even greater loss of income, should reduce Faymann & Co. also the VAT flat rate for farmers to 5%. An average dairy farm has to reckon with an annual loss of around 2400 €. This corresponds to a reduction in milk prices by 2-3 cents per kilo!
